Louis Muggli

AS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERN AT 5BY5, LOUIS SUPPORTS THE TEAM WITH ELECTRICAL DESIGN AND PROJECT SETUP, BRINGING A HANDS-ON, BUILD-IT-YOURSELF CURIOSITY TO EVERY PROJECT.

A native of Atchison, Kansas, Louis found his way into electrical engineering the way a lot of good engineers do: by taking things apart to understand how they work and then figuring out how to build them better. On his days off, you'll often find him tinkering on a project of his own, experimenting with electronic components and testing ideas by hand.

He joined 5BY5 Engineers in 2026 and is currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. Louis is especially drawn to analog electronics, an area he's eager to keep learning about, and he brings that same enthusiasm to the design work he supports at the firm, from electrical design, load calculations, panel schedules, and as-built documentation, or whatever best reflects his day-to-day.

What Louis values most about working at 5BY5 is the chance to learn directly from experienced engineers and to see the systems he studies come to life on real projects. Outside of work, he's a guitar player with a deep appreciation for music, and he's happiest putting his hands to work on something he's built himself.
