Zachary Wilcox

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at 5BY5, Zachary supports the team through HVAC mechanical design and project setup, contributing to work for major clients including Children’s Mercy Hospital, Comcast Data Centers, and St. Joseph Truck Co.

He joined 5BY5 Engineers in May 2025, and he is currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Benedictine College, with a strong interest in both the HVAC and aerospace engineering fields.

Zachary enjoys the challenge of applying classroom knowledge to real-world systems, making tangible use of the concepts he has studied extensively.

Drawn to engineering for its demand for critical thinking and problem-solving, Zachary thrives on the variety of tasks and the opportunity to continuously learn. He finds meaning in work that pushes him to grow and takes pride in contributing to technically complex projects.
