Nemaha Valley Community Hospital embarked on an addition and renovation to modernize and expand its healthcare services.

Recommended by Harrison County Community Hospital, 5BY5 was brought in to address various issues and ensure the successful completion of the ongoing project. Our extensive experience with healthcare projects, coupled with our ties to other health systems in the region, made us an ideal partner for the challenging environment.

The scope focused on actively resolving operational issues and preparing the facility for optimal long-term performance. This involved troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and plumbing system issues, specifically addressing persistent plumbing cross-connects and HVAC zoning challenges. We also assisted the construction team (AHRS and Central Mechanical) in project completion, managing budget concerns, and performing seasonal testing and retro-commissioning.

Through our partnership with Nemaha Valley, we've helped the team better understand their building systems and tackle key operational concerns head-on. Among the items accomplished, we resolved a persistent hot water issue and updated the HVAC system serving the nurse's room. The partnership remains active and ongoing, with continuous improvements and detailed testing to ensure the MEP infrastructure functions reliably for years to come.
